Meagan Hunt

Meagan Hunt, studied at the University of Queensland and graduated in 1998. Since graduating she has worked in several different areas and has also travelled and worked overseas as a music therapist in Dublin, with Adults with Acquired Brain Injury, and Romania, where she lead a volunteer project to implement a music program for Romanian orphans. Meagan is now based in Melbourne and is currently enrolled in a research masters degree at the University of Melbourne investigating use of group music therapy with young refugees in the school community. Meagan has also convened the 2000 and the 2004 Australian Music Therapy Association conferences. Meagan now holds the position of music therapist at the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation hospital, while focusing on her masters and setting up new music therapy programs with refugees.
